Founded in 1990, the Cumberland Valley School of Music (CVSM) is a member of the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts.  Our offices and primary studios are located in Thomson Hall at Wilson College, where we offer a wide range of lessons, classes, workshops, and summer camps and present recitals and concerts in the beautiful Thomson Alumnae Chapel, which houses two recently renovated Steinway Concert Grand pianos and a Moller Organ. 

However we also teach at the Mercersburg Academy, Mercersburg, PA, the Montessori Academy, Chambersburg, PA; Fairview Avenue Brethren in Christ Church and St. Andrew School, Waynesboro, PA; and St. Maria Goretti High School, Hagerstown, MD.  Over 600 students are enrolled at CVSM in a given year, served by 55 highly qualified faculty members.  Camps and programs have also been taught in collaboration with the Chambersburg YMCA’s Sam’s Gang, Neighborhood Ministries, and Network Youth Ministries, and others.

CVSM teaches all orchestral and band instruments, voice, piano, guitar, drama and theatrical techniques, Suzuki piano, and numerous classes for all ages.
